Hasbrouck Heights High School's student newspaper, The Pilot's Log, won a "Best of Show" prize at November's Journalism Education Association/National Scholastic Press Association Fall National High School Journalism Convention in Kansas City, MO. The Pilot's Log won second place in the Newspaper 13-16 Pages category and was the only publication from New Jersey to win recognition at the convention. The newspaper's editors are Lee Ciocia, Marissa Romano and Samantha Issa, and the faculty advisor is Lora Geftic.
