Coming up on Patch this week.
Construction to the two-block section of the Boulevard continues to move towards completion as week-four of the project gets underway this week.
The installation of new sidewalks to the Boulevard from Jefferson up to Hamilton has been completed over the past two weeks. Work to install new pavers is expected to begin this week. Patch will bring readers the latest on the project's progress and when construction is expected to be complete.
The work is part of an ongoing project to revitalize the Boulevard with new sidewalks, pavers and lighting. The project began about two years ago with the revitalization of Boulevard from Washington up to Jefferson.
The work is funded predominantly by grants from the state Department of Transporation. The borough has already received funding towards the next phase of the project, the section of the Boulevard from Hamilton to Walter and has plans to apply for a grant to fund the next street Walter up to Division.
