Members of the community dined on chicken and chips in support of the youth group at Holy Trinity Church as proceeds from the Monday night dinner will go towards the group’s trip next July to the 2012 ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans.

Reverend Susan Nelson-Colaneri said about six kids will be attending along with five chaperones including herself. It’s the first time the youth group from the Holy Trinity congregation will attend the gathering, the reverend said adding that the high school teens will be among 20,000 youths attending from all over the country and some from out of the country as well.
