Children's Books Sought for Elementary Classroom Libraries
Parents of middle school and high school students can donate books their children may have outgrown to the district's elementary schools.
This book drive is being done to help enhance the classroom libraries at both elementary schools, explained Karen Dolan, Lincoln School reading specialist.
The efforts go in the hand with the huge push for literacy in the district, says Dolan. Also it’s a green effort as it promotes recycling.
Most times parents don’t know what to do with the books their children have outgrown and this creates an opportunity for the books to be repurposed, explained Dolan.
