Christmas Day Guide: A List of Businesses Open Sunday

Patch took a poll to see which businesses in town plan to be open Christmas Day

Once again Patch took a poll of the businesses in town to find out which ones may actually be open on Christmas Day, and just like last year, as expected most are taking the holiday to be with family and friends. However there are a handful that will be open, even if just for part of the day.

The Minit Mart, which recently returned to the borough in a new location at the corner of Madison and the Boulevard, will open at 8 a.m. Christmas morning.

Cucina d’Italia will be open Christmas Day until 5 p.m. IHOP will be open for breakfast at 7 a.m and will stay open until 2 p.m. The famous Bendix Diner will keep its doors opens on Christmas Day as it does all year round and Houlihan’s will also be open for Christmas dinner. Mt. Fuji Restaurant will open at 4 p.m. for dinner as well.

Just like last year most of the fast food eateries on Route 17 will be closed for the holiday except for Subway which will be open all day and Sonic which will open at 9:30 a.m. and will remain open until about 4 p.m.

Also Beijing, Golden Garden, Ho-Mei Kitchen and Jumbo Chinese food restaurants will be open regular hours on Sunday.

Want to know where to get your coffee Christmas Day? Starbucks on Route 17 south will be closed all day but both Hasbrouck Heights Dunkin Donuts locations will be open. The Boulevard location will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Route 17 south shop is open 24 hours a day.
