Churches Host Ash Wednesday Services
The Lenten seasons begins Wednesday, Feb. 22
For many residents in Hasbrouck Heights the Lenten season will begin on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22.
Many of churches in the borough will host Ash Wednesday series Wednesday evening. Some churches are hosting a simple supper beforehand.
Corpus Christi Church – Ashes will be distributed at all masses on Wednesday, Feb. 22 - 8 a.m. and noon in the church and 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. in the chapel.
The church will host a simple meal of soup and broad from 6 to 7:25 p.m. in the school cafeteria. It will be followed by the 7:30 p.m. mass.
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church – The church will host a Simple Supper at 7 p.m. followed by Ash Wednesday mass at 7:30 p.m.
St. John the Divine Episcopal Church - Ash Wednesday mass will begin at 7:30 p.m. with Bishop Beckwith.
First United Methodist Church – Ash Wednesday service begins at 7 p.m. in the chapel.
First Reformed Church – Services will begin at 7:30 p.m.
