Town Day Coming Up This Week

A sneak peak into what readers can expect to see on Patch this week.

 

Coming up this week on Patch

Hasbrouck Heights' annual fall family event, Town Day, is planned for this coming Saturday, Sept. 29 at Woodland Park

Among the many highlights at Town Day include live entertainment from local band Double Tap, features Heights' very own Carla Culkin on lead vocals. The band performs regularly at Town Day and was also featued at the annual street fair this past May.

The field will be a place for fun activities for borough children with inflatable bounce houses and other games set up. Various borough organizations and groups will on hand with info, giveways and more.

The Environmental Commission will distribute this year's new borough calendar which will feature, for the first time, images of the posters borough children created earlier this year in the annual environmental poster contest.

Town Day runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

A rain date has been set for the following Saturday, Oct. 6. Patch will bring an update later this week if inclement weather is predicted for Saturday.

Also coming up this week:

Mayor and Council will host its second public meeting of the month this Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. Patch will provide updates in regards to meeting agenda once details become available.

Also this week, the Hasbrouck Heights Public Library hosts a free seminar on how to get organized Thursday, Sept. 27 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
