Mount St. Dominic Academy

Taking place on Thursday, April 18,&nbsp;at 6:30 pm,&nbsp;our beautifully tree-lined campus in the heart of Caldwell will welcome students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, along with their families, for a specially-timed program. Attendees will have the chance to meet our esteemed faculty, staff, and current student body, and explore the breadth of offerings at the Mount – from academics to arts, sports to service, and everything in between. Led by a faculty and staff specializing in how girls learn best, the Mount, which was awarded the 2023 Best of Essex Gold Medal in the "Best in Private School” category, offers a distinctive curriculum that combines a traditional liberal arts education and STEM, with innovative Signature Programs. These programs include the L.E.O. Program, a two-year Entrepreneurship Program; a Senior Capstone Program in Directed Research; and Academic Concentrations in Health Sciences and Social Justice – each providing students with real-world educational opportunities. The Lupus Research Alliance is hosting its annual “New Jersey Walk with Us to Cure Lupus” event on Saturday, May 4, at MetLife Stadium! Come join us, all are welcome, and help us raise awareness and funds to support lupus research. 
The FREE event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with others in the community who are passionate about finding a cure for this debilitating autoimmune disease. Also included are inspiring speakers, light refreshments during the walk, a t-shirt contest, and a variety of activity booths. Donations are appreciated. 100% of all donations go directly to lupus research programs.

Robert Schumann’s Scenes from Childhood (for piano) is a nostalgic musical meditation on the dreams, desires, and adventures of childhood. The popular collection of short character pieces evokes children’s games, reveries about far-off places, and cozy evenings spent by the fireplace.
Maurice Ravel’s exquisite Mother Goose Suite (for piano 4-hands) summons the magical worlds of classic fairy tales including Beauty and the Beast, Tom Thumb, and Laideronnette, The Empress of the Pagodas.
The celebration will culminate with Johannes Brahms’s stirring Trio in E-flat for violin, horn, and piano, dedicated to memory of his mother, Christiane.
