Wednesday: Heights Mayor and Council Meeting

Find out what is happening in town today.

Hasbrouck Heights' governing body will conduct its first meeting of the month Wednesday at 8 p.m. in council chambers. Meetings are normally held on Tuesdays but it was moved this week due to the special Senate primary election on Tuesday. 

Wednesday afternoon brings the final Talk it Up book club meeting for students entering grades 7 to 9, part of the Hasbrouck Heights Public Library's summer reading program.  

The library also has chess for beginners for kids ages 7 to 12 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. It's followed by a club for more experienced players from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. 

At the senior center today its games, cards and coffee at 10 a.m., senior aerobics at 2 p.m. ($1 donation). There's also mahjong from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the lounge is open from 10 am. to 2 p.m. as well.
