Cub Scout Pack 17 "Trunk or Treat"

The Cub Scouts of Pack 17 in Hasbrouck Heights hosted their third annual “Trunk or Treat” in Woodland Park on 10 October.  The weather cooperated by providing a cool fall evening.   The festivities included sing-a-longs, doughnut on string eating contest, Bobbing for Worms, Trunk or Treating among nearly two dozen vehicles, eerie Halloween music, and bonfire.  The cars were appropriately decorated for the holiday with ghosts, goblins, spooky music, cobwebs, and skeletons.  For the first time, the Scouts had an opportunity to “Bob for Worms”.  Gummie worms in (whipped cream) dirt.  Winners successfully found the worm in the dirt only using their mouths (no hands).  What a hoot!  As always, a great time.
