The Church By The Side Of The Road, under the leadership of the Rev. Theresa Nance, will sponsor an Intervention and Prevention Before Incarceration Symposium from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at 108-114 Hoover Ave., Passaic, NJ.

The keynote speaker will be motivational and educational speaker Darryl C. Walls,   Founder & CEO of MINDS (Mental Intensity Naturally Determines Success) Leadership Consulting Firm. He is the creator of the Access2Success (A2S) Leadership Education Program, co-author of two books titled “Leadership Defined” and “Conversations on Faith”, Certified Situational Leadership Trainer, Certified Anti-Bullying Trainer, to name a few, and a familiar face on the speaking circuit, both in the print and broadcast media.

Afternoon break-out sessions are planned focusing on the power of both positive and negative associations. Bert Nance II, a retired law enforcement officer from the Passaic County Sheriff's Department, will offer information on what inside a penal institution is really like.

Interactive dialogue is a must. Continental breakfast will be served at 9 and a hearty lunch will be served at noon.

The young and the young at heart are encouraged to join us at no charge.

For further information: email Rev. Nance at: t_nance@hotmail.com. Or, call: 201-757-5645. The event is co-sponsored by Channel 7 Metro News traffic reporter Debbie DuHaime.
