Bon Secours New York Health System’s Schervier Nursing Care Center, specializing in long-term and rehabilitation care in the Riverdale section of The Bronx, proudly recognizes the Rev. George Ned as the Values in Action award recipient for August 2013.
The prestigious Values in Action award is presented monthly to recognize an individual who embodies the mission of Schervier and exemplifies Bon Secours’ core values, namely delivering superior quality care and service to each resident with compassion, respect, integrity and justice. Ned, chaplain in Schervier’s Pastoral Care Department, was nominated by his peers and fellow leaders for delivering care with dignity and respect to each patient and their family, and for the compassion he brings to its facility daily, providing all with comfort.
“I am very proud to present Father George with this award, as he consistently exhibits compassion and serves as a role model for others; his dedication to our patients and the care we provide remain his primary goal,” said Stephen Kazanjian, Director of Mission at Schervier. “Father George brings innovation and years of expertise and sincere empathy to the palliative care we provide; he has an unfailing commitment to provide good help to those in need.”
A Values in Action ceremony was held in honor of Ned on August 22, 2013, to honor Ned and recognize his accomplishments. He was presented with a certificate of excellence, along with a small gift on behalf of Schervier by Kazanjian.
