Halloween Festivities Around the Corner

The Junior Women's Club annual Pumpkin Patch event returns for the youngsters, along with the brand new Doggie Costume contest.

Halloween is quickly approaching. The Junior Women's Club are now selling tickets for the annual Pumpkin Patch event set for Sunday, Oct. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Woodland Park.

Children ages infants to 7-years old can pick out their own pumpkin, enjoy face painting and crafts. Kids are encouraged to wear costumes.

Tickets cost $10 and children must have a ticket in order to participate in activities and pumpkin picking. For tickets contact Lisa Castellano at 201-805-9733 or email castcapp@yahoo.com or Cara Murry at 201-923-6365 or email caracm@gmail.com.

New this year is the Doggie Costume Contest, a fundraiser to benefit the Seeing Eye charity. This will be conducted much like the Junior Women's annual Baby Beautiful contest where voting is done at Town Day.

Dog owners can enter a photo of their pooch dressed in Halloween costume to the contest by mail - P.O. Box 68, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604 or email to hhjuniors@gmail.com

Voting will take place at the Pumpkin Patch event. Votes cost $1 each, of which the proceeds will benefit The Seeing Eye.
