Heights Officials Say PSE&G Working to Resolve Outage Problems

Hasbrouck Heights officials report that PSE&G crews have been working in the area to help resolve the power outage problems residents in parts of town have been experiencing.

One week after PSE&G representatives met with the borough council and residents at a public meeting, crews came in to conduct tree trimming along circuits which include the area of Oldfield and Field avenues of which the majority of complaints regarding frequent random power outages were based.

According to Mayor Rose Heck PSE&G had pushed up the tree trimming which had been planned for next year. She said the borough also expects the utility company to follow through with the removal of old Cobra lights from the Boulevard that were no longer in use since the borough put in decorative lighting.

Numerous residents came forward during the public meeting with the PSE&G representatives informing them of the ongoing outage issues which were affecting their quality of life. The majority - residents who live on or near Oldfield Avenue - said the problems have been ongoing for the past few years and nothing had been done to fix it despite their complaints.
