Michael A. Diamonds Calls the Boulevard Home

Michael Avetessian always imagined Hasbrouck Heights would be home to his jewelry business. Now he no longer has to imagine it. He is now living it.

Michael A. Diamonds has just opened its doors at 194 Boulevard and is gearing up for its official grand opening celebration in less than two weeks. Avetessian has spent the last 11 years working day in and day out in the jewelry business with his brother-in-law and now he is venturing out on his own.

One of the things he loves most about the business is the relationship that he builds with his customers. He enjoys working with people and loves seeing the joy they experience when finding the right pieces.

Avetessian has assisted with many engagements and loves to offer his ideas and proposal advice. “I like being involved in the whole process,” says Avetessian who added that it’s a great feeling when the couple comes in afterwards to get their wedding bands. He enjoys building that personal relationship with his customers.  

A resident of nearby Garfield, Avetessian says he always admired Hasbrouck Heights and has always felt that the Boulevard would be a great place to open a business. He has been driving through Heights for years on his way to the supermarket or the gym and is no stranger to the area.

When he made the personal decision to open his own shop, a location opened up on the Boulevard. It all came together very smoothly he says.

The shop currently features a selection of fashion jewelry, which Avetessian is affordable right now and is something everyone wants. He says the shop will also offer a large selection of fine jewelry, engagement rings, wedding band fine watches and custom made jewelry as well.

The official grand opening will be Monday, April 16 at 11 a.m. Michael A. Diamonds is open daily, except Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or by appointment.
