What Type of Business Should Replace Curly's Ice Cream?

The homemade ice cream shop recently closed its doors citing 'difficult economic times.' Patch asks readers what type of business they would like to see come to this location.

After just a little more than one year of serving up its homemade ice cream in Hasbrouck Heights the family-run Curly's Ice Cream shop somewhat recently closed its doors on Route 17 South.

The Hasbrouck Heights location opened in October 2011 and was run by the third-generation of the Meiers family which has been serving up ice cream to local folks at its Riverdale location for more than 50 years. The Riverdale location is still in operation.

A sign-on the door simply states the family's regret that it has to close permanently "due to difficult economic times and personal family health hardships."
