Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Services in Heights

A listing of some of the local church holiday services

UPDATED 11:15 a.m. In celebration of Christmas Day, the borough’s many houses of worship will have their regular services on Sunday morning as well as some other special services this weekend.

Here are some of the Christmas holiday services taking place this weekend:

will host Christmas Eve service Saturday at 8 p.m. On Sunday, Christmas Day service will begin at 9:30 a.m.

, will have services both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On Saturday, Dec. 24 there will be service in the chapel at 4 p.m. and at 4:15 p.m. in the church. Midnight mass will be held in the chapel. On Sunday, Dec. 25 there will be services at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon in the chapel.

will begin the holiday weekend with lessons and carols for Christmas Candlelight Eucharist on Christmas Eve (Saturday, Dec. 24) at 10:30 p.m. This candlelight service will tell the story of Jesus’ birth. Music will be provided by the Joyful Noise Ringers and instrumental and vocal soloists. On Christmas Day, there will be service at 10 a.m.

will begin Christmas Eve with Christmas lessons and carols at 10:30 p.m. followed by a candlelight festival celebration at 11 p.m. Sunday morning there will be service and coffee hour at the sister church of St. Martin in Maywood at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

will host a candlelight service on Saturday, Christmas Eve at 5 p.m. Christmas Day service will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

 and are all expected to have their services Sunday morning as well.
