Hasbrouck Heights Children Will Celebrate Halloween Monday

Hasbrouck Heights police say Heights children can take part in Halloween trick-or-treating this Monday, Nov. 5.

Hasbrouck Heights children can celebrate Halloween with trick-or-treating on Monday, Nov. 5.

Heights police sergeant Joseph Rinke says through discussion with the police chief and school superintendent it was decided it was best to follow Governor Chris Christie’s recommendation to let the children trick-or-treat on Monday.

Trick-or-treating was cancelled on Oct. 31 due to safety concerns associated with the conditions of neighborhoods all across the state due to the destruction Hurricane Sandy caused earlier in the week.
