Witches and Wolves Haunt Hasbrouck Heights [PHOTOS]

It just wouldn't be the Halloween season in Hasbrouck Heights without the annual Haunted Hayride in Woodland Park.

Once again the borough's park was transformed into a spooky haunted setting with eerie music and creepy characters lurking behind the trees.

The Hasbrouck Heights Recreation Department puts on this event every October with teen volunteers who dress up as zombies, witches, and other spooky characters who come out to surprise the families on the hayride as it makes its way through the park.

The ride is designed to be less scary at dusk for the younger children and various friendly characters like Big Bird, Elmo and Dora the Explorer were on hand to pose for photos. Pizza, treats and apple juice were served under the pavillion and many of the youngsters showed off their Halloween costumes.
