Halloween is just around the corner and once again Hasbrouck Heights has a slew of activities set for the youngsters.
Tickets for the annual Halloween in the Park event have been on the sale. The Hasbrouck Heights Recreation Department puts on this scary hayride event each year in Woodland Park.
Wagon trips will run every 15 minutes beginning at 6:15 until 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 16 (rain date is Oct. 18). Children under 11 must ride with an adult. The first few rides starting at 6:15 p.m. will be less scary therefore parents are advised to sign up for the earliest time slots. Call 201-288-4356 for more information.
The annual Halloween window painting contest is set for Wednesday, Oct. 17, sponsored by the Hasbrouck Heights Chamber of Commerce. The contest is open to students in grades 3 to 5 at Euclid, Lincoln and Corpus Christi. Contact the school’s PTA to learn more.
The Junior Women’s Club once again hosts its annual Pumpkin Patch event for the little ones on Sunday, Oct. 21 at Woodland Park.
Youngsters from infants up to age 7 can pick out their own pumpkin, take part in crafts and face painting. The Juniors will also host the first annual dog costume contest. Email a photo of your dog in costume to email@example.com.
