How Much Snow is Expected?

Snow will continue to fall this afternoon but the National Weather Service says little or no accumulation is expected.

A wintry mix of snow and ice have been coming down most of the morning Tuesday but minimimal accumulation is expected, according to National Weather Service.

The weather service says snow will continue to fall this afternoon and snow is likely to continue this evening.

By noontime snow began to stick to the sidestreets in Hasbrouck Heights but main roadways remained clear.

The forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday is as follows:

Tuesday afternoon - Snow. High near 40. North wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Tuesday night - Snow likely, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. North wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Wednesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 42. Northwest wind 6 to 10 mph

Wednesday Night -  Mostly clear, with a low around 30. Northwest wind around 8 mph.
