School Fundraisers and Pre-Valentine's Fun Coming Up This Week

Here's a snapshot of what is coming up in Hasbrouck Heights this week

Here's what is happening in town this week:

MONDAY

Middle school and High school report cards will be issued today, as per the district's website.

Also both elementary school PTAs have fundraisers which begin today. Euclid PTA starts its Gertrude Hawk Chocolate sale and Lincoln PTA begins its food drive.

TUESDAY

The Crafts-to-Share club, which knits and crochets hats and blankets which are donated to local hospitals and organizations, comes to the library Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

It's also Game Club day at the library starting at 4 p.m. kids in grades 7 to 12.

It's the first Tuesday of the month so there is no council meeting this week. The next meeting is set for Tuesday, Feb. 11.

WEDNESDAY

The Planning Board which normally is scheduled to meet the first Wednesday of the month will not meet Feb. 6.

The middle school/high school PTSA will conduct its meeting at 7:30 p.m.

The middle school book fair begins Wednesday and runs until Friday.

FRIDAY

The elementary school PTAs are teaming up for Movie Night. The event will run from 5:30 until 9:15 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

Also coming up this week

With Valentine's Day just around the corner Patch will bring readers the scoop on what local events are planned such as White Castle on Route 17 which will once again transform itself in a romantic haven for local couples on Feb. 14.

Also be sure to look out for information on some upcoming community events including the Chic Charity Club's annual Casino Night and the Friends of the Library's Chinese New Year fundraiser.
