Ragamuffin Parade, Trunk or Treat Planned for This Weekend

Two annual community Halloween events are set for neighborhood children Saturday and Sunday.

Two popular annual Halloween events return this weekend in Hasbrouck Heights.

Saturday the annual Ragamuffin Parade will begin at 1 p.m. Children dressed in costume and their Moms and Dads can line-up at the police headquarters at Hamilton Avenue.

The procession will head down to the senior center at Borough Hall where refreshments and entertainment will be provided for the youngsters. The Mayor's Commitee for Community Celebrations presents this event annualy.

On Sunday, Bible Baptist Church on Passaic Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights presents the 9th annual Trunk or Treat event.

Neighborhood children from grades 1 thru 6 are invited to the attend this free event which provides a safe environment for children to to collect treats and have fun. A Bounce House, Giant Slide and hot cocoa and cookies will be offered for the children.

The event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m.
