Register Your Child For Library Play Group, Story Time

Hasbrouck Heights Public Library is now accepting registration for fall programs for youngsters which begin this month.

Registration began Monday, Sept. 17 and can be done in-person, by phone or online.

Programs include:

Tiny Tots Play Group for infants up to age 2 1/2. The group meets from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Sept. 25 or Sept. 27. Caregivers must accompany the child during playgroup.

Book Buddies Storytime will meet on Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. for children ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2. Caregiver must accompany child during activity.

Building Blocks Story Time for children ages 3 1/2 to 5 years old meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:15 to 2 p.m. beggining Tuesday, Sept. 25 or Thursday, Sept. 27. Caregivers must remain in the building during story time.

Book Lovers' Story Time is for children in Kindergarten and first grade which meets once a month on Fridays from 3:30 tlo 4:30 p.m. The first meeting was last Friday and the remaining dates are Friday, Oct. 12, Nov. 9 and Dec. 14.

Best Books Book Discussion is for kids in grades 2 and 3 which meets once a month on a Friday starting in October from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The library wil supply the book for the month. The meeting dates are Fridays, Oct. 5, Nov. 2 and Dec. 7.

Also the Junior Women's Club hosts a monthly pajama story time event for children ages 3 to 7 and their caregivers on the third Thursday of each month at the library from 7 to 7:45 p.m. The dates are Sept. 20, Oct. 18, Nov. 15 and Dec. 20.

The library also has monthly craft night for kids in grades 4 to 6 on one Monday per month from 7 to 8 p.m. The schedule is: Monday, Oct. 1 - sugar skull flower pots; Monday, Nov. 5 - clay leaves (bring some real leaves along); Dec. 10 - winter watercolor.

Critic's Choice Book Discussion Group returns once a month from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The schedule is: Friday, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16 and Thursday, Dec. 20. The library will supply the book for the month to be read ahead of time.
