THURSDAY: Teen Book Group Meets Author

Events and reminders for today

1)      The “Talk It Up” teen book discussion group for students in grades 7 to 9 meets today at 3:30 p.m. at the . Students are expected to meet author Chris Grabenstein author of “The Smoky Corridor.” Today’s event concludes the summer book discussion group which is part of the summer reading program.

2)      At the today it’s games, cards and coffee at 10 a.m. and mahjong at 11 a.m. and yoga at 2 p.m.

3)      There will be a story time at the library at 10:30 a.m. for youngsters.

4)      Children grades K to 12 have until Aug. 20 to enter the 9/11 Memorial Poster contest. For rules click here.

5)      The ongoing fundraising effort to help offset costs to the borough for the upgrades to which will house the 10th anniversary 9/11 Memorial continues. Bracelets can be purchased for $5 from various organizations like the Junior Women’s Club and the Chic Charity Club or by visiting Heights Florist.
