Although most businesses plan to be closed on Thanksgiving Day there are quite a few that will be open their doors for those last minute needs or a bite to eat.

For last minute needs

Spindler's Bakery on the Boulevard will be open from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. if you still need some goodies to bring to Thanksgiving dinner.

Need flowers or gift ideas? Both Bill O'Shea's Florist and Heights Flower Shoppe are open until to 2 p.m. Thursday.

Incase you forgot any of those last minutes for the big meal, Shop Rite in Lodi will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday.

If you need a bottle of wine for dinner, Heights Beer & Wine Emporium will be open all day until 10 p.m. Meadowlands Beer and Wine on Valley Boulevard in Wood-Ridge is also open all day.

Hungry?

IHOP on Route 17 South will be open from 7 am. to 2 p.m. Thursday for breakfast or lunch.

The Ivy Inn will be open serving a special Thanksgiving menu. Reservations were required in advance. Call 201-393-7699 to inquire about reservations.

The Bendix Diner is always open round the clock, just about never closes its doors.

Coffee and newspaper

Looking to enjoy your morning coffee out? Starbucks on Route 17 will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Dunkin' Donuts on the Boulevard from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

Convenience stores like Nick's Quick Stop and Minut Mart are usually open at least for the morning hours on major holidays.

Work out

The 24Hour Fitness on Route 17 South reminds its patrons they still get their workout in on Thanksgiving Day as the gym will be open until 2 p.m.
