Heights Organizations Gearing up for Annual Town Day

The Hasbrouck Heights community is getting ready to welcome the fall season with its annual fall family festival.

Town Day is set for Saturday, Sept. 28 at Woodland Park. The day once again promises live music, free food and drinks, giveaways, Farmer's Market, DJ music and tons of activities for children including inflatable rides and games.

The band Double Tap, featuring Hasbrouck Heights' very own Carla Culkin on lead vocals, will entertain the crowd.

Town organizations will be on hand with information and giveaways.

The Hasbrouck Heights Junior Womens Club will host its annual Beautiful Baby Contest. Residents of Hasbrouck Heights can submit a photo of their child under age 2 to the junior womens club.

Town Day visitors will have a chance to vote for their favorite for a $1 donation which will go towards the Seeing Eye, a program which provides a lifetime of companionship and guidance to the visually impaired men and women.

The winner will receive a $50 savings bond. Parents have until Sept. 21 to enter. Send a photo of your baby to  Hasbrouck Heights Junior Woman’s Club, P.O. Box 68, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604.  Please include the child’s name, birth date, parent’s names and phone number on the back of the photo.

Town Day will run from 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Rain date is Saturday, Oct. 5.
