HHFD Engine One holds it 7th Annual Summer Barbecue

Engine One in Hasbrouck Heights holds Annual Barbecue

On the night of June, 4th, 2014, Engine One in Hasbrouck Heights welcomed company and department members and their families to the Seventh Annual Engine One Barbecue at the Hasbrouck Heights Firehouse. The barbecue, which started out as just a few guys barbecuing some hot dogs after a meeting, has become a much anticipated event every summer. The barbecue was attended by over 40 department members and their families and was a good time to all those who attended.

Organized by Engine One fire fighter and member, Justin Watrel and under the direction of our grill master, First Assistant Chief and Engine One member, Angelo Roccamo, members and guests enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, Italian sausage, baked beans and a fire fighter barbecue favorite, homemade Baked Ziti. Barbecue Chairman Watrel also did the baking and members enjoyed homemade brownies, frosted chocolate chip muffins and lemon layer cake. There was not much left over! The members want to thank all who attended and enjoyed the sunny summer night of good food and conversation.
