Local business owners have a voice in the local government at two levels: the Council and the Mayor's Office. The Chamber of Commerce helps business owners organize and prepare communications through both channels if and when needed.
The Mayor, Hon. Rose Heck, has always been supportive of the efforts of the Hasbrouck Heights Chamber of Commerce by having an "open door" in response to concerns expressed by our group, or its individual members.
This was reinforced heartily and warmly at last night's Council meeting when she confirmed that the best way succeed in building a strong Chamber of Commerce membership is to go one business at a time "door-to-door," and agian offerred to help with respect to Chamber memberships in advance of the Chamber's Holiday Parade scheduled for next week.

In a less fomal way, in a conversational open discussion at our regular meetings, we have a Council - Chamber liason, Council member Ms. Sonya Buckman who can assist in fostering an open line of communncation with the town on an on-going basis.
General concerns can be raised by individual business owners regarding questions pertaining to ordinances, laws, and how they impact business at anytime. The Hasboruck Heights Chamber of Commerce can help with raising those concerns.
