Former Aviator, Alan Pfeifer Dies at 84

The football star went on to play professional football in Canada, according to reports.

Alan Pfeifer, a noted Hasbrouck Heights athlete, and former professional football player in Canada, died at the age of 84, reported NorthJersey.com.

Pfeiffer was a member of the Hasbrouck Heights Hall of Fame as well as a Hall of Fame member at Fordham University.

According to the university's athletics site, Pfeiffer was known as the "Hasbrouck Heights Hand" and was a "was a sturdy and acrobatic end for the football Rams during their impressive season of 1950."

He went on to play pro ball in Canada where he played for the Toronto Argonauts, reports NorthJersey.com. For the past 15 years he lived in California, the report says.
