Longtime Owner of Ben's Barber Shop, Benjamin A. Mignano, is Dead at 85

The owner of a Hasbrouck Heights barber shop passed away on Dec. 18.

Benjamin A. Mignanon of Lodi passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Born in Lodi to the late Salvatore and Josephine Mignano, Ben was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Before retiring, Ben was a barber and owned Ben's Barber Shop in Hasbrouck Heights. Previously, he worked in the Textile Industry.

Ben was an avid fisherman, a talented amateur artist and loved to cook. He was the dear brother of Benedetta "Betty" Paparozzi of Glen Rock and Nina Cammarata and her husband Dave of Hasbrouck Heights. He was the cherished uncle of Andrew Paparozzi and his wife Roberta, Ellen Recchia and her husband Michael, David Cammarata and his wife Cosemelina and Paul Cammarata. Ben is survived by six great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Liturgy was from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Lodi and held on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 10:30 AM. Interment followed at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi. Visitation was at Costa Memorial Home at Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to a favorite charity would be appreciated.
