Richard Ardizzone, Retired Owner of Handyman Richie, Dies at 67

Ardizzone served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era.

Richard Ardizzone, of Hasbrouck Heights, died last Sunday, according to a notice on the website of the Costa Memorial Home. He was 67 years old.

The  Flushing, N.Y., native was raised in Floral Park, N.Y. Her served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. Before retiring, he owned Handyman Richie in Hasbrouck Heights. Previously he had worked at the Savings Bank Trust Co. in New York City.

Richard Ardizzone is survived by wife Irene Kroll Ardizzone; children Crista Robinson of Hasbrouck Heights and Ami Ardizzone of Rutherford; siblings Marion and Guy Cafiero of South Carolina and granddaughter Samantha.

Arrangements were handled by Costa Memorial Home. A funeral liturgy took place at Corpus Christi R.C. Church in Hasbrouck Heights. He was interred at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, Center Pointe II, 1160 Route 22, Suite 103 Bridgewater, N.J.
