Kidz Cabaret -- Funkey Monkeys
Where/When: Sunday Mar. 27  at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at bergenPAC, 30 N. Van Brunt St., Englewood
Why Go: Created by Joshua Sitron, composer for Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer, the Funkey Monkeys are a supergroup of professional musicians and comedians.
Pricing: $17

Dinosaur Adventure Night
Where/When: Friday Mar. 25  at 7 p.m. at Saddle River Valley Cultural Center, 305 W. Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River
Why Go: Come and touch real dinosaur bones and fossils and maybe even a real dinosaur egg, build a large wooden dinosaur; for kids age five and up
Pricing: $10 for members, $12 for non-members and $15 at the door

Drop-In Activities at the Newark Museum
Where/When: Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; 49 Washington Street, Newark
Why Go: In addition to enjoying all the museum has to offer, drop-in for a special art activity where kids can make their own Georgia O'Keeffe painting or a science activity where they can explore nanoscience
Pricing: Activities are included in museum admission, $10 for adults, $6 for kids

The Park in the Past
Where/When: Saturday Mar. 26 at 2 p.m.; Palisades Interstate Park Headquarters, Alpine
Why Go: Guided hike for children to the Zabriskie ruins with Christina Fehre, about three miles, two hours--children must be accompanied by an adult.
Pricing: Free

One Word, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure
Where/When: Sunday Mar. 27 at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.; Liberty Science Center, Jersey City
Why Go: Elmo's friend, Hu Hu Zhu, visits from China and takes viewers on an exciting discovery of the sun, moon and stars, Big Dipper and the North Star. This show is recommended for kids ages four to six.
Pricing: $3 for kids, $4 for adults

NOOK Family Day at Barnes & Noble
Where/When: Saturday March 26 at 12 p.m.; The Shops at Riverside, Hackensack
Why Go: Visit the NOOK boutique to check out kids interactive books with activities, giveaways and a gift card raffle
Pricing: Free

Tangled Adventure at The Disney Store
Where/When: Saturday March 26 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m; Paramus Park Mall, Paramus
Why Go: Activity sheets, games and more for kids and their families who are fans of the film 'Tangled."

Saturday Storytime at the Teaneck Library
Where/When: Saturday March 26 at 11 a.m.; Teaneck Public Library
Why Go: Drop-in storytime for kids ages three and up.

Pancake Breakfast
Where/When: Sunday March 27 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.; New Milford-Teaneck Elks Lodge, 1 Patrolman Ray Woods Lane, New Milford
Why Go: Have a great family breakfast including pancakes, eggs, sausage and more
Pricing: $7 for 11 and older, $5 for ages 5-10, free for kids age four and under

Make a Brilliant Butterfly
Where/When: Saturday March 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Lakeshore Learning Store, Hackensack
Why Go: Kids will use tissue paper, pom-poms, pipe stems and more to create their own butterflies
