Local Legislators Seek Public's Input on Storm Preparedness

Dear District 38 Residents,

We hope that you escaped the past two storms with little damage and are now getting back to a sense of normalcy with your family and friends. We have learned much during the past few weeks about our emergency response, our communication during storms, and our sense of community.

To our Mayors, the emergency responders, the volunteers, and the public workers, we extend our gratitude for your leadership and dedication to the residents.

To all those employees of PSE&G, thank you for the endless hours of working to provide us with our basic needs of heat and light.

We learned of many successes and a few missteps that need to be fixed before the next storm hits New Jersey. Next month we will be having a meeting with officials to share thoughts on how to work together and utilize each town’s best practices so that we can look forward to providing the best protection and communication for our residents.

In advance of this meeting, we would like to hear from you. What suggestions do you have which would better prepare us in the future? We are looking for constructive ideas so that we can serve you better.
