Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service 2014
On Monday, January 20, 2014 the 6th Annual Jersey Cares Martin Luther King, Jr Day of Service will engage over 1,200 volunteers in over 30 service projects across 13 New Jersey counties. Volunteers will honor Dr. King’s legacy while displaying their own leadership skills as they brighten dull walls with fresh paint, serve hot meals, sort gently used and new coats for The 18th Annual Jersey Cares Coat drive, create sensory activity kits for students with learning disabilities, spend time with seniors, beautify our parks and coastline, and organize donations. Volunteers throughout New Jersey will work to embody Dr. King’s vision and bring people of all ages and backgrounds together strengthening their communities.
