Amira Mor Dances in Support of Heights Firefighters

Fundraiser is this Sunday at Michele and Milan's Restaurant in Garfield.

Professional dancer Amira Mor has hosted a fundraiser in support of US troops. She’s raised funds for autism, Alzheimer’s, breast cancer and domestic violence.

Now she’s put together a fundraiser for the volunteer fire department in the borough where her performance arts studio lives – right here in Hasbrouck Heights.

Fire Chief Richard Giarratana told NY1 this week he “was overwhelmed” upon learning that Mor wanted to put this fundraiser together in benefit of the department. Mor, who lives in Fort Lee, told NY1 she chose the fire department because they are volunteers who put their lives on the line to save anyone.
