Area Go-Go Bar Faces Lewdness Charges

Division of Alcohol Beverage Control has filed a dozen charges against Johnny A's Players Club in South Hackensack and is seeking to have its license suspended.

Johnny A’s Players Club in South Hackensack may soon be forced to shut down as it faces a multitude of lewdness charges from the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

According to a statement released Thursday from the state attorney general, the ABC seeks to suspend the  go-go-bar’s license for a total of 445 days due to a dozen violations, mainly lewdness charges, which came as a result of an undercover investigation. The club is owned by JRV Holdings LLC.

The ABC alleges that the investigation revealed female dancers at the club “exposed themselves to detectives and rubbed themselves against the detectives during private dances,” which are actions the ABC reports are banned by law in licensed establishments.
