Heights Cops Nab Two Alleged Robbers

Police say the men threatened a woman with a knife before fleeing the area.


Hasbrouck Heights Police arrested two Passaic County men last week they say tried to break into a borough residence and threatened its occupant with a knife. 

Jeffrey O. Sanders, 45, of Clifton and Antrell A. Allen, 41, of Paterson, were charged with robbery and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, according to Heights Police Chief Michael Colaneri. 

Hasbrouck Heights detectives teamed up with Clifton police on this investigation which led to the arrests.

The robbery occurred in Hasbrouck Heights on Aug. 15. Cops said a woman came home to find a two men trying to get into her residence. Colaneri said when the woman approached the men they pulled a knife and then fled the area. 

A description of the men and the vehicle was shared with other departments including Clifton which reported similar incidents in the area. 

Bail was set at $250,000 each for Sanders and Allen. They also were charged with multiple other violations in Clifton and Secaucus, according to police.
