Heights Police Carry Torch Through Town

Department members ran in honor of the NJ Special Olympics

The wet weather didn't stop Hasbrouck Heights Police officers from showing their support for the NJ Special Olympics by running with the Torch throughout town.

Hasbrouck Heights police take part in the Torch Run every year and continuously raise funds for the Special Olympics.

Chief Michael Colaneri and crew were cheered on by on-lookers as they ran up the Boulevard and were greeted by Mayor Rose Heck and others as they passed Borough Hall.

The Torch Run made its way through Bergen County on Friday carried by members of various police departments. Hasbrouck Heights picked up the Torch from Lodi and then handed it off to Wood-Ridge.
