As of next week, the will now answer calls from nearby Little Ferry.
The borough entered into a shared service agreement with Little Ferry last month to take over the answering of their borough’s 911 calls. Little Ferry will now pay Hasbrouck Heights $7,500 per year for the service. Heights also provides this service to the neighboring boroughs of Wood-Ridge and Teterboro.
The shared services do not require any additional manpower or equipment, Police Chief Michael Colaneri reported previously. will answer the calls and automatically transfer it to Little Ferry which will do its own dispatching.
