There has been much discussion in the months that followed Superstorm Sandy about the borough expanding its emergency management group

The superstorm left some without power for nearly two weeks and there was much discussion in the weeks that followed about how to improve the lines of communication during such an event. The borough has since introduced some solutions to help including a emergency alert system known as Swift 911.

Those who wish to take the CERT classes must complete and fill out the attached registration form and return it to the police department.
