How Much Snow is Expected to Hit Heights Monday?

National Weather Service reports chance of 1 to 3 inches Monday

Don't put the snow shovels away just yet as another 1 to 3 inches of snow may be on its way Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service predicts an 80 percent chance of snow beginning after 10 a.m. Monday with accumulation of 1 to 3 inches expected.

Snow may continue Monday night before midnight with less than one-inch of accumulation expected.

NJ Transit announced Sunday a full system wide-cross honoring would be in effect Monday to offer customers additional travel options. Customers are advised to check NJTransit.com before travelling.

  • Monday - Snow, mainly after 10am. High near 38. Breezy, with a northeast wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
  • Monday Night -  Snow likely, mainly before midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 31. North wind 9 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
