More Car Burglaries Reported in Hasbrouck Heights

Thirteen reported in one week, police say.

Five more car burglaries were reported in Hasbrouck Heights Friday totaling 13 reports in one week, according to police records.

According to the police reports from Friday, July 26, items were reported stolen from vehicles which were parked on Terrace, Bell and Paterson Avenues. Eight other incidents were reported earlier in the week.

In a statement last week, Chief Michael Colaneri advised residents to refrain from leaving their vehicles unlocked and to take valuables along or secure them in the trunk. Leaving signs such as docking stations, phone charges in out may signal thieves to investigate, said Colaneri.
