Lodi Teen Charged with Handgun Possession at Heights House Party

Police say house party in Hasbrouck Heights got "out of control" leading to a fight and arrest of Lodi teen for unlawful possession of handgun.

A juvenile from Lodi was arrested by late Saturday night after a house party in the borough got "out of control," said Captain Jack DeLorenzo.

The captain said the juvenile was found with a handgun in his possession and was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.

Heights police had responded to a call late Saturday night regarding a large fight at a house party on Miers Avenue, he said. DeLorenzo said the juvenile had allegedly left the party during the fight and returned with a handgun. DeLorenzo said the gun was not used and no one was injured.
