Police Investigate Burglary to Home

Officers also respond to multiple car crashes this weekend


Hasbrouck Heights police are investigating a burglary to a residence on Williams Avenue which took place on Friday and also responded to several motor vehicle crashes which took place over the weekend.

According to the police blotter, officers responded to a call reporting a burglary at 11:40 p.m. Friday night.

According to Captain Jack DeLorenzo of the borough’s the resident came home to find two rooms were ransacked. Police investigation revealed there was forced entry at the rear door.

In other police activity this weekend, several motor vehicle accidents occurred on borough roads. Friday afternoon around 1 p.m. there was a motor vehicle crash at Burton and Stanley avenues.

At 3 p.m. the same day, another motor vehicle crash took place involving two cars on Route 17 north.

Saturday morning at 10:42 a.m., police responded to an accident involving two vehicles at Boulevard and Cleveland avenues. Around 1:20 p.m. there was an accident at Route 17 North and Route 46 West.

A few minutes before 7 p.m. police responded to yet another motor vehicle crash on Passaic Avenue.

Sunday morning at 9:05 a.m. police received a call that two parked vehicles on Lincoln Avenue were struck. The third vehicle reportedly left the scene.
