Weekend Traffic Advisories: Route 17 North and Route 3 West

HH Police say sewer repair is expected to shut ramp to Terrace off of Route 17 N down for about 24 hours

Heights motorists should be aware of traffic advisories in the area this weekend.

Hasbrouck Heights Poilce advise all that the Route 17 North to Terrace Avenue/Polifly Road ramp will be closed beginning 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 until about 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2 due to sewer repairs.

Lt. Thomas Archer, who heads the traffic bureau at the Heights police department said that work is expected to take about 24 hours. Detour signs will be placed in the area directing drivers to alternate routes. Archer advises to use Terrace Avenue or the Boulevard if headed in the direction of Hackensack or the hospital.

Also motorists can expect some traffic on Route 3 this weekend due to some overnight lane closures.

Motorists should prepare for a shift in traffic on the Route 3 westbound bridge tonight as the state Department of Transportation sets up a new work zone area in the middle of the bridge.

The bridge carries traffic over the Hackensack River and connects Secaucus and East Rutherford. Beaver Concrete Construction Co., the contractor on the job, is scheduled to set up the new construction zone in the center portion of the bridge tonight.
