The borough’s volunteer fire officials took their oaths for the 2012 year as part of the annual reorganization meeting which was held on New Year’s Day.
Fire Department Chief Richard Giarratana was joined by his family members as Mayor Rose Heck administered the oath. Pat Hayes was sworn in as first assistant fire chief and Angelo Roccamo was sworn in as second assistant chief.
Several other members of the department were sworn in their new roles for the year.

Department officer elections were conducted this past November. The officers for 2012 are:
Engine Company One:
Captain – Edward Carter III
Lieutenant – Robert Pietz
Secretary – Justin Watrel
Treasurer – Christian Semenecz

Rescue Squad:
