Bid Awarded for Road Resurfacing Work for Collins and Burton Avenues

Funding comes from a community development block grant

Work will likely begin next Spring to resurface areas of Burton and Collins Avenue, from Williams Avenue to Route 46, now that the borough has awarded a contract for the work to D&L Paving Contractors of Nutley.

Mike Kronyak, borough administrator, reported Tuesday that out of the six bids received D&L Paving came in the lowest with an amount of $116,218.45.

The majority of the funding for this project comes from a community development block grant in the amount of $81,000, Kronyak said. The borough will fund the balance and engineering costs.
