Chic Charity Club members assisted Ray Vorisek, chamber of commerce president, in designing and distributing the silicone bracelets which were read the inscription “9/11 we will never forget.”

Upgrades to the park include new sidewalks, irrigation and installation of electricity so lights can illuminate the steel beams. Part of the upgrades were paid for by a county open space grant in the amount of $18,000. The borough put up about $20,000 towards the project and the sale of bracelets was launched to help offset some of this cost.
