One Democrat Will Challenge Republican Incumbents in November

Primary election saw no race for council seat nominations on either party.

Republican Councilmen John Dingertopadre and Russell Lipari will seek their second terms this November, while Democrat Christian Semenecz, a former councilman, will seek to unseat one of them.

There was no contested race in the Tuesday primary election for the nomination on either party side. Voters did come to the polls, however, giving Dingertopadre 292 and Lipari 313 votes. Semenecz received 237 votes.

Tuesday also marked the deadline for Independent candidates to file petition  to run with the county election office, but no one came forward, according to Borough Clerk Rose Sees.
